Meet Guro Philip Gill

Philip Gill a native of southern California has beenpracticing martial arts since 1994. He holds instructor certifications in jun fan jeet kune do andFilipino martial arts of kali eskrima arnis, under the international martialarts and boxing academy and  Rister internationalinstructors association. In 1995 He began his training in Torrance Californiaunder the late Sigung Richard Bustillo. Sifu-Guro Gill’s martial artsbackground began with jun fan jeet kune do and the Filipino martial arts aswell Boxing and continued until Richards death in 2017.

Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do is Bruce Lee's personal martial artnamed after himself Jun Fan. Jun Fan JKD can be taught but it cannot bestandarized, we are all different in height,size,weight and personality. GMAA teaches Jun Fan JKD and its concepts principles and philosophy through three ranges of combat.

The long range weaponry of the Filipino Martial Arts of Kali Eskrima. The middle rangeof natural weapons, which involves Boxing, Panantukan Jun Fan kick boxing, Wing Chun Gung Fu and Muay Thai. The close range includes Brazilian Jujitsu, FilipinoWrestling called Dumog,Silat, Judo throws and Jun Fan JKD Hand Trapping. Thesethree ranges of combat are the basic concepts of Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do. To"absorb whats useful, discard whats useless and add specifically what isyour own. It’s through your own experiences in learning combat that you willfind your own personal Jeet Kune Do. Just as you learn writing, you learn thebasics and the principles of writing and eventually with time you will developyour own personal penmanship, that’s an example of learning Jeet Kune Do. YourJeet Kune Do is to be simple, direct and functional so it can be applied inpractical applications.

The Filipino art of boxing (panantukan) is also called dirty boxing, using elbows, finger jabs, hammerfists, backhands and headbutts and limb destruction.

Kali Eskrima

Eskrima (Kali, Arnis) is a Filipino martial art that focuses on the use of sticks, bladed and impact/blunt weapons, improvised weapons, hand-to-hand techniques, Single stick, Double stick and Kalis (The blade ), Baraw (Knife Defense), Espada y Daga (Stick/Sword and Dagger) and Mano y Mano (Unarmed Combat)

Wing Chun is a Chinese martial art utilizing both striking and grappling. Its a very unique and scientific form of martial arts specializing in close range combat.
